Challenge:
Airflow Developments Ltd, at the forefront of air movement and measurement technologies, encountered a specific challenge from Jaguar. The automotive giant required a solution to accurately measure vehicle air-tightness for air-conditioning efficiency, a need for which Airflow had no ready-made product.
Solution:
Led by Terence, a creative and agile approach was adopted to address this challenge. Starting from scratch, components from previous unrelated projects were utilised to put together a bespoke team. This team innovatively designed and constructed a mock-up that was refined into the final product, meticulously tailored to meet Jaguar’s requirements.
Outcome:
The development of this specialised testing equipment successfully met Jaguar’s stringent specifications and established a new benchmark for air-tightness efficiency testing within the automotive industry. The tool has since become integral to Jaguar’s manufacturing process, significantly enhancing both product quality and operational efficiency.
